ToggleWHAT HAPPENED?
Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney continue to work with manager Phil Parkinson on late deals. In order to get more bodies on board, others will need to be moved on from SToK Racecourse – helping to free up funds and squad space.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The Red Dragons have a number of players on their books that sit on the fringes of Parkinson’s plans, or have slipped out of favour entirely, and the plan is to find them regular minutes elsewhere – with some prepared to step out of League One and back down into the National League.

WHAT PARKINSON SAID
The clock is ticking there, with Parkinson saying of efforts to put deals in place before rules that do not apply to rivals in England kick in: “There may be one or two leaving before the window closes. It’s a similar situation to Jordan [Davies]. There are certain players who need to now go and push for a first-team place elsewhere, and that could happen before the window closes. With Welsh FA rules, after the window closes we can’t loan players out into the National League so the ones who we are looking to go into that level have to go before the window closes if they are going to go at all.”

WHAT NEXT?
Wrexham have brought in seven players this summer – Arthur Okonkwo, Lewis Brunt, George Dobson, Callum Burton, Sebastian Revan, Dan Scarr, Ollie Rathbone – and continue to be linked with more attacking additions as star striker Paul Mullin works his way back from minor spinal surgery.
